Earth Day 2022 is on Friday the 22nd April 2022.

Earth Day celebrates the environmental movement and raises awareness about pollution and ways to maintain a clean habitat.

Here at Pangaea Home, we are very passionate about living both sustainably and responsibly.

Earth Day is about celebrating the beauty in our planet and pledging our allegiance to its protection. We’ll be going on a long walk in the Dales to appreciate our earth’s environment and we hope you can pledge your allegiance in any way you see fit.

If you’re Leeds based like us, we’ve made a list of Earth Day events you can attend.

  • Stop Sewage Pollution - National Water Quality and Earth Day: Exhibition and street party. Free Entry. Christchurch Church, The Grove, Ilkley, 12 – 4pm.

  • Yorkshire Dales National Park, Earth Day Weekend Event. Family activities to raise awareness, included in Museum Admission. All day.

  • Free online lecture by William Boos from the University of California, Berkley, on Atmospheric Climate Science. ( 26th April 2-3pm. )

  • Take your children (and a picnic) to an outdoor activity day with South Kirkby Education Centre for leaf printing, pinecone animal making and a scavenger hunt! 10am – 1pm.

If you already have plans on Earth Day, but still want to take part in some way, why don't you:

  • Be a vegan or vegetarian for the day

  • Plant a tree through a charity

  • Walk, ride your bike, or get the bus instead of driving

  • Shop at a local market or farm shop

  • Switch all of your bills to paperless
